Why It Matters! What Are The Odds? The Impossibility of the Evolution of Life
One of the errors that some Creationists make when talking about the origin of life is treating it as a case of what are the odds? Even if it is stated that the odds of life evolving is a billion trillion to one it still leaves open the possibility that it might have happened. In fact the odds of life having evolved by pure chance is zero. One of the ways that evolutionists attempt to obscure the facts about the origin of life is to pretend that life is simply a complex arrangement of chemicals, it is not, just as a book is not simply a complex arrangement of ink on paper. What a paper book really is is the specific arrangement of ink on paper, the specific arrangement being the language that the book is written in. But for a language to be useful it must be understandable to both the sender and the recipient. For life to exist the language of life DNA must be in a specific arrangement that is understandable to the cell that it exists in, An analogy of this is one I use often when speaking about life. How long would it take for ink and paper to write a book? But more than that, how long would it take for ink and paper to write a technical manual on how to build and operate a computer? The answer of course is never. Just as chemicals by themselves could never generate the very specific and complex information necessary to produce DNA. In the 2008 movie Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, Richard Dawkins of Oxford University, the world's foremost proponent of evolutionism, makes a startling confession, he admits, probably indirectly, that naturalistic evolution is impossible when he states that aliens might have done it. This idea called directed panspermia is that aliens seeded the Earth with DNA that then evolved into all of the life we see today. What this fairytale doesn't answer is how did the aliens come into existence? The other problem with directed panspermia is that it doesn't answer the impossible problem of where all of the new information needed for all of the life on Earth come from? Even though Dawkins would vehemently deny it what he was really doing was endorsing Intelligent Design, as long as it wasn't by God. DNA is God's language of life, with each genome, collection of genes, being each creature's book of life. Life is the most complex thing in the entire Universe. All of the facts of science tell us the same thing, it couldn't happen by itself.
