Earth’s Magnetic Field: Decaying Evidence of a Young Earth

On the 1960's TV show, Star Trek, when the starship, Enterprise, was
about to be attacked, Captain Kirk would order the
shields, a force field, to be raised to protect the
ship. What most people don't know is that the Earth has its
own force field to shield it from the destructive
rays of the sun. The Earth's shield is its magnetic
field, which surrounds the Earth and keeps harmful cosmic
rays from damaging the Earth and its inhabitants.
The
Earth's magnetic field is one of the things that God
made as part of His creation of His World. It acts as
a dipolar magnetic with the force field farthest away at the equator
and closest at the poles which results in the Aurora
Borealis, the Northern Lights, where the interaction
of the magnetic field with cosmic rays are visible from Earth.
What is not widely known is that the Earth's magnetic field is getting
weaker every year. It has been regularly measured
since 1835 and has been found to be decaying at the
rate of 5% per century or with a half- life of 1400
years. As the magnetic field gets weaker it allows in
harmful cosmic rays with the result that there is an
increase in mutations and cancers, undoubtedly one of
the reasons people do not live as long today as they did before the
Flood when the field was much stronger. At the
current rate of decay the magnetic field will be
completely gone in a few thousand years. Not only is the magnetic
field decaying, but it has also changed directions
several times in the Earth's past, these reversals
happening during the time of the Genesis Flood. These
changes of direction, with the magnetic field
switching direction from the North Pole to the South
Pole and back again, are known to have happened from the
direction that bits of iron point to in lava flows
laid down in the past. These changes in direction
have now been shown to have happened in a matter of days, the
speed of these reversals have caused great
consternation among evolutionists.
The decay of the Earth's magnetic field is also one of the best pieces
of evidence that the Earth is only a few thousand
years old. For both the decay and reversals of the
magnetic field show a force field that is rapidly deteriorating. If
the power of the magnetic field, which decreases by
half every 1400 years, were multiplied backwards the
magnetic field would have been so powerful that life
on the Earth could not have existed more than 10,000 years ago.
Of course evolutionists, being the great storytellers that they are,
make up stories to explain away the facts, inventing
a theory of a self-sustaining dynamo that produces
the magnetic field, even though all of the evidence tells of
a constantly decaying magnetic field.
The Earth's magnetic field is one of the many facts that God left for
us to discover to show how He made this Earth to be a
place for people to live on.
The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Psalm 24:1
